AXTELL— After a banner year for the Fort Kearny Conference, the conference's toughest senior competitors got to take the court together. The FKC All-Stars faced the Republican Plains Conference All-Stars in the New West All-Star Game on Thursday in Axtell, with the RPAC coming out on top both games.

The RPAC Girls All-Stars won 67-49, and the RPAC Boys won 77-73. In typical All-Star game fashion, the teams were not shy letting it fly from deep. Both teams in the girls game made eight triples, but one from the final minute stands out from the rest.



With time ticking down, Wauneta-Palisade's GraCee Goings tried a two-handed "granny style" shot from half court, banking it in to the delight of the crowd. "We faced tough competition with some really good shooters," Overton head coach Janessa Bergman, who coached the FKC girls team, said. "We didn't really expect them to shoot so well since it's summer and they haven't shot in a while," Overton's JoLee Ryan led the FKC with 11 points, part of five Eagles on the roster.

During the game, the State Championship-winning starting five got to take the court together one final time, all subbing in together during the second half. "I did that selfishly for me, since this is the last time we get to see that," Bergman said. "I didn't try to do it too much, but it was rea.
