Two Arby’s locations and a Popeyes in Denton were burglarized early Wednesday. A police report states all three burglaries are related. At about 7:19 a.

m., officers were dispatched to an Arby’s at 2313 Colorado Blvd. The caller said when she arrived to work, the door was broken and the restaurant was trashed.



The manager said someone broke the safe and stole an undetermined amount of money inside. The damage was consistent with the safe having been hit with a sledgehammer and pried open. The manager provided security footage that showed two male burglars breaking in at about 2 a.

m. The manager confirmed the store would like to press charges if the burglars can be identified. Then, at 8 a.

m., officers were dispatched to another burglary at Popeyes at 1716 S. Loop 288.

The manager said someone broke in through the glass door at the drive-thru window. The safe was damaged in the same manner and an undetermined amount of money was missing. The manager is working to provide officers with security footage.

At about 9:26 a.m., officers were dispatched to another burglary at another Arby’s at 901 W.

University Drive. The manager there also said someone broke through the drive-thru window, damaged the safe and stole an undetermined amount of money. This safe, too, was damaged in the same fashion.

Officers obtained security footage from one nearby business that captured two male burglars driving. They are still working to obtain other footage. From 12:01 a.

m. to 11:59 p.m.
