Water bottles have gone the way of Tazos, yo-yos, fidget spinners and hula-hoops after Ballarat Clarendon College, one of Victoria’s top schools, slapped a trial ban on them in some classrooms. An unidentified student who claimed to be from Clarendon raised the alarm about the ban on social media site Reddit, saying that the reason given for the ban was that the water bottles were “too distracting”.
