It’s hard to do photographic justice to an event as vast and intricately planned as , but if anyone can do it, Ellen von Unwerth – the German photographer and former model who has captured everyone from Claudia Schiffer to Rihanna to the band Hole – undoubtedly can. She proved as much on Sunday, producing a night’s worth of images of Vogue World: Paris’s most exciting moments (and attendees, of course). If you didn’t manage to snag Vogue World: Paris tickets – or you happened to miss the (which you can still revisit now!) – von Unwerth’s shots will make you feel like you were right there in the front row for the night’s proceedings.

Vogue World: Paris marked the first time a fashion show had ever been held on Place Vendôme, the former home of Coco Chanel (who spent decades of her life at the Ritz) and the site of Elsa Schiaparelli’s first boutique-stroke-atelier. Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu – best known for her role as the icy yet fabulous Sylvie on – made a cameo in the ’80s section of the performance, clad in Saint Laurent and clutching a cellphone the size of a brick. Serena Williams wearing – what else? – Off-White. The brand’s creative director Ib Kamara, , had the tennis-inspired look finished with the slogan “Queen of Queens”.
