The Good Doctor season seven is finished but how was the medical drama wrapped up? ABC fans were gutted to learn that there would be no more of Dr Shaun Murphy (played by Freddie Highmore) and the rest of the team earlier this year when its cancellation was announced. Now, the last ever episode has aired and, as teased by its cast , it was definitely surprising.

What happened in The Good Doctor season 7 finale? Claire has a life-changing operation In the penultimate episode, it was discovered that Claire Browne (Antonia Thomas) had Stage 1 breast cancer, after receiving a misdiagnosis. She has an operation but post-op, Claire collapses and it turns out that it is due to her resistance to antibiotics that’s making her seriously ill. Before Claire is put into a coma, she tells Jared Kalu (Chuku Modu) that she loves him which he reciprocates and tells her to stay strong as “I just got you back”.

Her condition continues to deteriorate as her friends try and find what they need to save her life but they need mor.
