According to Entertainment Weekly , negotiations are underway to bring back stars Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt, Stanley Tucci, director David Frankel, and producer Wendy Finerman. The Devil Wears Prada not only garnered critical acclaim and impressive box office receipts, amassing US$326 million globally, but it also significantly boosted the careers of Hathaway and Blunt.

Based on Lauren Weisberger’s novel, which draws from her experiences as an assistant to Vogue’s Anna Wintour, the film follows Andy Sachs (Hathaway) as she grapples with the high demands of her boss, Miranda Priestly (Streep), a formidable fashion magazine editor. Puck News reports that discussions are currently focused on Streep and Blunt , with the sequel set to explore the challenges facing traditional print media in the modern digital era. The plot will see Priestly navigating her career amidst the publishing industry’s decline, facing off against Blunt’s character, now a powerful executive in a luxury group.



Variety suggests that the storyline will delve into the shifting dynamics within the fashion publishing world, highlighting the desperation for advertising dollars in an increasingly digital landscape. Aline Brosh McKenna, who penned the original screenplay, is in talks to write the sequel. McKenna is known for her work.
