OMAHA, Neb. — Texas A&M's opening game of the 2024 College World Series against Florida has been delayed indefinitely, as severe weather approaches the Omaha area. Gates to Charles Schwab Field will not open until a game time has been determined.

The tarp was pulled across the infield at approximately 6:11 p.m., which was 11 minutes after the original set start time for the game.

and is delayed again, it can be continued to as late as needed. A&M sophomore left hander Justin Lamkin was slated to face off against Florida freshman right hander Liam Peterson in Saturday's first-round game. So far, the first three games of the 2024 College World Series have been settled in walk-off fashion, with Saturday's early game between Kentucky and NC State ending in the 10th inning on a Kentucky home run.
