The scandal reportedly created a ‘toxic’ environment at the secondary school in Greater Manchester, where “distraught” staff members say the teachers were no longer trusted. One said: “They completely stopped trusting us”, adding rumours began to swirl that Joynes was buying alcohol for teenagers, whom she had invited round to her flat for a party, reports the Mirror.



Another former staff member explained: “Rebecca never joined. Even the near-retiring teachers would have had a drink.” Instead, Joynes behaved like a “cool girl” and was spotted chatting with female students about fashion during break time and “strutting” down the corr.
