Tata Altroz Racer is the performance-based variant of the regular Altroz, powered by a 1.2L turbo petrol engine developing 120 PS and 170 Nm Tata Motors has today announced the launch of the Altroz Racer in the domestic market and it derives power from a 1.2 L three-cylinder turbo petrol engine producing a maximum power of 120 PS at 5,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 170 Nm at 1,750 to 4,000 rpm as in the Nexon.

The powertrain is linked with a six-speed manual transmission. The Tata Altroz Racer was first showcased last year at the Auto Expo before its debut at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024 a few months ago. It is the performance-oriented take on the regular premium hatchback with cosmetic upgrades and a more enhanced features list.



It has become the range-topping model within the Altroz portfolio and competes with Hyundai’s i20 N Line. The equipment list boasts a 360-degree camera system, a 26.03 cm touchscreen infotainment display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, ventilated front seats and six airbags, sunroof and much more.

It is available in a total of three variants namely R1, R2 and R3 with a choice of three colour options (Pure Grey, Atomic Orange, and Avenue White). Additionally, Tata has expanded its standard Altroz’s lineup by introducing two new variants namely XZ LUX and XZ+S LUX as we previously reported while the XZ+ OS has been upgraded as well.
