’s blue-gray Birkin bag contains multitudes: it’s a pharmacy, a candy store, a beauty supply closet, a library, a condiment station, a fashion emergency kit, and holds more phone chargers than any one person should have. The actor and BÉIS founder stumbled upon her Mary Poppins-esque bag in a vintage store. Not quite her bag, she still made it her own with a silver Chrome Hearts charm.
“I love the size, especially because I’m always traveling,” she says. As a mom of two, Mitchell has transformed her bag into a well-stocked Mom Mobile. Ready for all situations, she carries everything from wet wipes to snacks.
“I also am like a little sugar-head,” Mitchell says, brandishing a bag of organic gummy candy. “I have this for myself and also as bribery for my children. Works wonders.
” The actor is hyper-aware of how being a mom has affected her body—including her skin. “The joy of having kids is that you get sometimes,” Mitchell says, pulling a khaki baseball cap out of her bag. What marks a good hat in her world? Adjustability and brim.
The most special piece in Mitchell’s bag is a priceless gift from her late grandmother: a drawing of her grandma and daughter, Atlas, with a personalized message on the back. “I would read it, but I would cry,” Mitchell says. One thing that in her purse is a photo of her with her grandmother—whom she calls Gram—on the red carpet of “Those photos will always be my favorite.
