FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Nonprofit Music Moves put on its annual Freedom Festival in downtown Springdale on June 15. The Freedom festival, held at Shiloh Pavillion, is one of many Juneteenth celebrations held in Northwest Arkansas.

The free event featured live music, food, a vendor market and a fashion show. “I am really enjoying the Juneteenth celebration,” Jaylen Hicks, a Freedom Festival attendee said. “I’m new to the area, so it’s so good to see all the people from all over the region coming together to celebrate this event.



” To him, Juneteenth means celebrating the freedom of people regardless of the way they look, Hicks said..
