Sonakshi Sinha’s style usually includes eclectic pieces, but it has undergone a change. Ever since the actor started the press tour for in April 2024, she has been channeling a more heritage-forward flair by embracing classic lehengas, saris and kurtas. Her black Lajjoo C set confirms that she can ace traditional dressing but with a switch-up that she is known for.
During an outing for the promotions of the series in May, Sinha wore a sharara set that was in tandem with the 1920s pre-Independence aesthetic of the period drama show. From Lajjoo C, her set comprised a short kurta made with handwoven silk, flared brocade silk sharara pants with circular and a matching organza dupatta. Her ensemble is perfectly capped off with intricate embroideries, including pure marodi work and kasab gota adorned on the neckline, hem and sleeves, shared the Mumbai-based designer.
“Just the embroidery took 65 hours for its competition,” she adds. Sinha eschewed conventional wear colours for an out-of-the-ordinary black hue, injecting a unique touch to the look. celebrations are in full swing, and this season all fashion bets are off.
You can trade your primary and pastel palettes for the magic of monochromes in an effort to make heads turn. A black sharara set like Sinha’s Lajjoo C creation? Sure. An ebony brocade sari like her Raw Mango drape with Art Deco influences? Why not.
Or a black and gold jacket and bralette paired with a drape skirt. Sinha is surely on board with making black .
