Born into poverty in Ontario, Shania experienced a life of hardship. Her family didn’t have much money growing up, and her parents were tragically killed in a car crash in 1987, leaving her to take care of her younger siblings at just 22. After singing in bars for years, she shot to superstardom in the late 1990s with her hit song, Man! I Feel Like A Woman.

Since then, she has released numerous successful albums and toured worldwide. She remains one of the most well-known and loved singers of her generation, and her tenacity, style and enthusiasm have inspired millions of women. Ahead of her gigs in Ireland this weekend, we take a look back on some of her memorable moments.
