ONE of Scottish football's cult heroes has found a new club - at the ripe old age of 36. He spent last season at Cove Rangers in League One , making 32 appearances and scoring twice. Over the course of his career, McGowan has been at the centre of some controversy both on and off the pitch. He gained a reputation for being the heartbeat of a dressing room, as demanding team mate but also fond of banter and practical jokes.
