SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – It was a big celebration at Enmarket Arena Saturday afternoon as the largest class in the history of the Savannah College of Art and Design graduated. This year’s commencement speaker was award-winning actor and New York Times bestselling author Rob Lowe.

“You are the storytellers,” he told the SCAD grads. “You are the connectors that bridge the divides of our culture and unites the human spirit. We need you.

We are depending on you.” More than 3,700 degrees were handed out to students who studied in over 40 programs such as animation, interior design, film and television, and fashion. Students received their degrees at two separate ceremonies.
