RANDOLPH — Randolph Central School Secondary Principal Jason Halpainy has announced the Class of 2024 Top 10. “Their dedication to academic excellence, along with their outstanding leadership and character, exemplifies the very best of our school community,” Halpainy said. “Each of these individuals has left a positive mark here at RCS, and I am confident that they will continue to inspire others as they pursue their goals.
” Alanna Sluga has been named valedictorian. She is the daughter of Ryan and Angela Sluga. Sluga’s extracurricular activities include volleyball, Drama Club, band, chorus, Spanish Club, Academic Trivia Team, Student Council and National Honor Society.
Her offices held/honors received include Secretary of the Class of 2024, Secretary of the National Honor Society, Treasurer of the band and Secretary of the Drama Club. Sluga plans to attend Syracuse University for Neuroscience. Roan Kelly, son of Kaine and Tracy Kelly, has been named salutatorian Kelly’s extracurricular activities include the Student Council, Leadership Cohort, Area Youth Basketball, Lions Club & Randolph Area Community Development Corp, Make-a-Difference Day and Cattaraugus County Government Internship.
His offices held/honors received include fall Scholar Athlete (2020-23), winter Scholar Athlete (2021-24), spring Scholar Athlete (2021-23), National Honor Society, RIT Business and Leadership Award, Clarkson University High School Achievement Award and St. Bonaventure Bonnie Sc.
