Lottie Ryan and David O’Reilly have received mixed reviews on their first day as the new 2FM drive-time hosts following the exit of Tipperary duo, The 2 Johnnies. The pair wrapped up their tenure at the station last week, with Aifric O’Connell presenting her first 2FM Breakfast alongside Carl Mullan and Donncha O’Callaghan on Tuesday morning. It comes following Doireann Garrihy’s exit, with Jennifer Zamparelli also departing the station in recent weeks.

Tuesday afternoon saw Lottie and David present their first 2FM Drive with Lottie & David, with the duo immediately throwing jabs at each other in a sure sign of what listeners can expect. Lottie kick-started by telling David a big rule for the first day of the job was not to gossip, with David retorting a dig about Lottie’s fashion sense. The show provided a mix of songs to get listeners pumped as well as a bit of craic and banter between the pair.
