An alert post office worker discovered a suspicious package which smelled of cannabis, a court heard. The special delivery was found at Keadby post office in February this year. When staff alerted Humberside Police, they investigated who the sender was and arrested him at his address.

They later found drugs valued at over £60,000, along with a knife. At Grimsby Crown Court, Aryn Mumby, 25, of George Street, Keadby, admitted supplying cannabis and a further charge of possession of a knife. Mumby had been released under investigation by police for the June 2020 offences when he committed the drugs offences in February this year, the court heard. Prosecuting, Ben Hammersley told how police became suspicious of a silver Volkswagen vehicle travelling through Scunthorpe. When they stopped the car, the driver smelled of cannabis.

A search of the vehicle revealed eight containers with cannabis, valued at £800. They also found a lock knife in the glove compartment. When his home was searched, police found a total of 48 ecstasy tablets and a press machine which had traces of Tetrahydrocannabinol, which .
