Actress Digangana Suryavanshi who is a part of the web series ‘Show Stopper’ has been accused of demanding Rs 6 crore in the name of Bollywood superstar securing him and his company as presenters for the project. A police complaint has been filed against the actress for allegedly cheating and criminal breach of trust under IPC Section 420 and Section 406. According to a report by News18, 'Show Stopper' director Manish Harishankar and the production house MH Films have also issued a defamation notice to actor Rakesh Bedi and Suryavanshi’s fashion designer, Krishan Parmar for making false statements about the project tarnishing its reputation and misleading the media by stating that the payments were withheld and project was shelved.
ADVERTISEMENT Bedi mentioned, "It's been one-and-a-half or two years. I have not received my payment yet. I think the problem is that they have to finish a lot of work, and clear all the dues of others then only they can release the series.
Even I have a few other friends in the series, who have not received their payments." Manish told News18 that the payments of actors have been cleared. In his report to the police, he said that Digangana kept telling how she knows superstars like Akshay, , and Salman Khan, and would rope in the biggies to become presenters of the web series.
He further stated that she took a staff member at their expense to meet Akshay in Ajmer. She insisted that the staff member who was an editor on the project hand over .
