POTTSTOWN — The night before his launch, Zamir Torres of Reading has his doubts about going on the Schuylkill River Sojourn. A member of Star City Boxing in Reading, Torres said “I was overthinking it. I thought it might be lame.

” Just 24 hours later, climbing out of a kayak in Riverfront Park, having won the capture the flag contest with his fellow Star City sojourners, he had changed his mind. The young men of Star City Boxing in Reading, enjoyed a day on the Schuylkill Tuesday thanks to a year-old partnership with the Schuylkill River National Heritage Area to provide the trip free to introduce the teens to the river and the sport of paddling. (Evan Brandt — MediaNews Group) Like a busy airport or train station, the Schuylkill river Sojourn’s pull out at the end of the day in Pottstown’s Riverfront Park can get a little crowded.
