NOTHING beats a glass of wine and a view, and one American town has exactly that. Texans named it the most charming and picturesque town in the Lone Star State. Fredericksburg, a town in Texas Wine Country, was named the top town in a Reader's Digest report that highlighted the 50 most charming towns in each state.

"Sure, cities like New York and Chicago are big tourist attractions, but there’s nothing like the charm of a small town when you want to book a relaxing weekend getaway, find the best pumpkin patch, or make a pit stop on a road trip while checking out one (or more!) of the best RV parks in every state," the report explained. The quaint town is famous for its plentiful wineries and vineyards, many of which offer old-fashioned wine services like grape stomping. A must-visit is Grape Creek Vineyards , complete with the perfect Tuscan-style setup for outdoor gazing with patios and 25 expansive acres.

Beer fans can check out Altstadt Brewery and Fredericksburg Brewing Company, which boasts German-style offerings. On top of the beautiful scenery, visitors are a stone's throw away from Texas Hill Country's Enchanted Rock State Park. Enthusiastic hikers can try their luck at climbing up the park, which can take up to an hour to complete.

The park is also one of the best places for stargazing in Hill Country, with opportunities to even see the Milky Way. After a satisfying hike, catch your breath at Wildseed Farms, where you can snap a few pictures in a field full of wild.
