The last week or so hasn’t been the most fun in Yankee-land. Following two consecutive series losses, the Yankees opened a set against the Braves on Friday night in less than ideal fashion. Atlanta jumped on Carlos Rodón very early as they handed the Yankees a second-straight blowout loss.

Even good teams go through bad stretches over a long season, and the key to being a good team is to make sure those stretches don’t last that long. The Yankees can go their way to changing that in the second game of the series tonight. Going for the Yankees tonight will be Marcus Stroman, who is coming off a down start in Boston, having given up four runs on seven hits and four walks in Boston last weekend.

A former Met, Stroman has a decent amount of experience against the Braves, and has generally been pretty good. Let’s hope he can continue that today. The top of the Yankees’ order is pretty similar to normal, while the lower half of the lineup is fairly different from yesterday.

Gleyber Torres is back in the lineup after missing yesterday after undergoing an MRI. He’s back at second base with Oswaldo Cabrera sliding over to third to spell the deeply slumping DJ LeMahieu. Meanwhile, Austin Wells gets catching duty tonight.

For Atlanta, Charlie Morton will get the start. Morton’s generally been above average but not stellar this year, but he does have a fairly long history against the Yankees . With the Yankees looking to bounce back, we hope you’ll come join us in the gam.
