Nook International Fashion Weekend, organisers of The Nook Model Summit is ready to host the 2024 edition of the Summit that brings together models from across Nigeria to discuss, learn, network and enhance their modelling skills. The concept of the Nook Model Summit was conceived by three women of integrity who are the co-owners of The Nook International Fashion Weekend. Dame Ogheneochuko Momoh, Mrs Odochi Samson Parker and Barbra Manuel, Esq.
saw a need to make a positive impact on the models who are essential to the fashion industry. Their aim is to promote ‘Decency on the runway and the fashion industry. According to the ladies who have brought thriving enterprises in the fashion industry to Port Harcourt, “With the increasing prominence of the modelling industry in Nigeria, the event is an important platform for models to meet with industry professionals and stakeholders to foster their growth”.
The Nook Model Summit event is slated to take place June 22, 2024, at the Nook Apartments, Trans Amadi, Port Harcourt. The speakers at this year’s event include; Visan Paul from Lit Model Management will handle the topic: ‘The Business of Modelling’. Dr (Mrs) Ibiredem Clinton David, from the Department of Neuropsychiatry, University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital will speak to the models on the topic of Mental health.
Mrs Laura-Cynthia Ndukwu Ibeano from Laura’s signature will take the models through the topic of Arts and crafts. Mrs Olugbesoye Olujimi from EMAD.
