According to Heavy , PFF writer Dalton Wasserman “recently” called Nix the “reason for optimism” for the Broncos in a June 10 article.

He also wrote that Payton likely sees some Drew Brees in his game. “Broncos head coach Sean Payton identified Bo Nix as his franchise quarterback, likely seeing some similarities to Drew Brees in the process.” Of course, Bo Nix has given some reasons for hesitancy.

While most veteran quarterbacks enter a season with goals that cannot be completed until months into the season, Nix has several quick ones.
