The Upper West Side institution will explore women’s history through everyday clothing, Robert Caro’s life and publication of The Power Broker , and three centuries of New Yorkers and their furry friends, via three distinct exhibitions.

The fall programming starts on September 6, with the 50th anniversary of the publication of The Power Broker , Robert A. Caro’s Pulitzer Prize-winning biography of Robert Moses. A new exhibit will be on view through February 2, 2025.

The installation includes Caro’s own hand-edited manuscripts, notes and drafts, which convey how he ultimately turned 522 interviews, reams of reportage, archival documents, and other research materials into a book. For the first time ever, visitors can read several pages Caro cut from the final version. An Evening with Robert Caro will also be held on Monday, October 7.
