The first half of the highly anticipated series dropped on the streaming platform on May 16 and within a matter of hours had swiftly ascended into the top 10 most watched shows list. Picking up where season two left off, the third series focused on Lady Whistledown herself, Penelope Featherington (played by the iconic Nicola Coughlan ) and her relationship with Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) as they navigated the murky waters of friendship to something decidedly more spicy.
Yet while the slow burn romance’s cliffhanger has captivated fans, as have the intricate costumes this season, some viewers couldn’t quite get past the gaping historical beauty inaccuracies that saw the show’s stars sporting everything from acrylic nails and fake lashes through to more permanent cosmetic enhancements such as ‘Botox’.
