Former NFL wide receiver and Super Bowl champion Antonio Brown has filed for bankruptcy, according to reports. Brown, 35, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy as he owes nearly $3 million to at least eight creditors, according to documents filed Monday in U.S.

Bankruptcy Court of the Southern District of Florida, the Times Union reports. The seven-time NFL Pro Bowler owes $1.2 million that was awarded to Anton Tumanov, a Florida truck driver who was reportedly assaulted by Brown in 2020.



He also owes about $970,000 to Zül-Qarnain Nantambu, a hip hop artist, filmmaker and fashion designer, according to his Facebook page, WNYT13 reports. Brown’s additional debts include $312,000 owed to a marketing firm, $169,000 to a law firm and about $83,000 on a credit card, according to WNYT13. Brown made more than $80 million in career earnings throughout his 12-year NFL career from 2010 to 2021 with the Pittsburgh Steelers, New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers . Brown, a Miami native who played college football at Central Michigan University, was drafted by the Steelers in the sixth round of the 2010 NFL Draft.
