Japanese outdoor brand Nanga is celebrating its 30th anniversary by releasing a selection of technical apparel and an all-new down blanket. Taking a rest from collaborations with fellow Japanese brands Wacko Maria and NEIGHBORHOOD , the brand centers its latest rollout of clothing items on lightweight, functional silhouettes designed for the summer months ahead. Highlights of the commemorative collection include a new open-collared shirt with a boxy drape made from DotAir®, a breathable, moisture-wicking material.
Four oversized utility pockets accentuate the front panel, nodding to the rugged sophistication of safari shirts. The matching cargo short (also made of DotAir®) features a roomy, loosely cut leg area. Oversized flap pockets, zip pockets and D-catches hit the front and side panels.
Nanga also introduces its signature down blanket in a limited-edition motif showcasing Mt. Ibuki and a 30th-anniversary logo, referencing the brand’s base in Maibara City, Shiga Prefecture. The blanket, designed from peacheskin-coated polyester using a wide stitch, is pleasantly soft to the touch and provides optimal warmth and heat retention, even without a duvet insert.
