Michael Crowther had an extra special day watching his beloved Manchester City after being asked to help Paul Dickov present the Premier League trophy to Pep Guardiola's champions. Michael, aged 61 from Reddish, has supported City all of his life and has attended the club's ReminisCITY sessions for several years to help with his dementia. One of his favourite memories that he enjoys talking about is the play-off final win in 1999 against Gillingham when City made it out of the third division in dramatic fashion.

Twenty-five years on, the club have become the first in English history to win four Premier League titles in a row. Dickov, scorer of the injury-time equaliser in that famous game , was picked with Michael to help with the trophy presentation and in the days before they met up at the training ground to watch the Gillingham highlights together. Because of the dementia, my memory is terrible now but attending City in the Community sessions and talking about the club, little things come back," said Michael. "If I wasn’t going every week, my days would just be bad. City brightens you up.
