Friday, June 28, 2024 The Montauk Yacht Club, a 107-key seaside resort and marina on Star Island, has reopened after a multi-million-dollar renovation. This revamp includes the addition of the Ocean Club Montauk and is now managed by Proper Hospitality within The Collective, a portfolio of independent, design-driven hotels, marking the beginning of a new era for the resort. Originally built in 1928, the Montauk Yacht Club has undergone extensive capital improvements.

The newly opened Ocean Club Montauk features a dining experience led by acclaimed South African Chef Jarad McCarroll. Drawing inspiration from his St. Barths location, the restaurant offers fresh seafood, local produce, a raw bar, and Braai—a traditional South African grilling method.

With 220 seats, it boasts the largest open kitchen in the Hamptons and offers stunning waterfront views of Montauk’s landscape, yachting culture, and seaside lifestyle. The resort’s common spaces, outdoor facilities, rooms, and suites have been refreshed, offering guests an elevated experience with curated Aesop amenities in the spacious rooms. A new 24-hour gym, equipped with state-of-the-art strength training equipment, Woodway Treadmills, Octane ADX air bikes, RO rowing machines, TRX equipment, and weekly fitness and health classes, is available to Montauk Water Club members and hotel guests.

Starting in July, the resort will showcase Proper Hospitality’s focus on wellness with a comprehensive spa menu of services. Throug.
