A Birmingham glamour girl who swapped her 9 to 5 job to compete in the glitzy world of beauty pageants has said a family tragedy has inspired her to ‘make a difference.’ Standing at just 5ft tall, Emily Harrison made history in 2022 when she became Miss England’s shortest ever finalist - but now she’s raising money for a cause close to her heart. Emily Harrison, from Longbridge , lost her youngest sister, Lottie, to a stillbirth seven years ago.
Since then, she has raised over £500 for the charity Sands - who support parents affected by the death of a baby - through her pageant competitions. The 27-year-old has only been competing in beauty pageants since July 2022, but she’s already got a number of impressive accolades to her name. After competing as a finalist in Miss England 2022, she has recently become the first UK beauty queen to compete in international pageants for shorter women - Universal Petite and Miss Petite Global.
