Gridwalk supremo was snubbed twice by the iconic Sir Brian May as he attempted to have a word at the at Silverstone. Attending the race because Queen's legendary song is set to feature on the 2025 film's soundtrack, Brundle first approached the guitarist as he was walking away from the grid but failed to get his attention. When May returned, Brundle spotted the popstar speaking to a member of Mercedes' crew and asked for a quick interview.
However, May declined, leaving fans in a state of hysterics at how the poor Brundle could be so shamelessly shunned twice in one grid walk. Brundle did state when approaching the Queen guitarist: "No one has ever snubbed me twice on the same grid walk, but I think it's about to happen." He was right, indeed, and walked away empty handed.
Fans took to X after the snub, with one fan stating: "Brundle getting rejected by Brian May twice, legendary" and another saying: "Martin Brundle when Brian May didn’t wanna talk: 'he just wants to sing...
either that or he’s blown his ear drums out' lmfao." The Three Lions are among the favourites to win this summer's Euro 2024 tournament and you can get your hands on the brand new Nike and kits before the first whistle. From £84.
