A man is such a fussy eater that he spends £300 taking his own food on holiday, despite his wife paying £1,400 for all-inclusive breaks. John Phillips packs a suitcase with Pot Noodles, crisps, biscuits and sausages so he can enjoy 'good old-fashioned English' grub abroad. Wife Rebecca Phillips began packing food for her husband three years ago when he refused to eat anything but chips during their trips abroad.

The mum-of-one then began expanding the number of items she'd pack for her picky partner - filling a whole suitcase with sweets, chocolate bars, porridge pots and packets of sausages and bacon for their two-week jaunts. They even pack a George Foreman grill in their checked-in luggage so lorry driver trainer John can enjoy bacon and sausage butties while away. On their holiday to Egypt last year the couple brought 21 Pot Noodles, 86 bags of crisps, two packets of bacon, a pack of 30 sausages, cans of tuna, a block of cheese and brown sauce.

To satisfy the 40-year-old's sweet tooth, Rebecca also packed 30 Club Biscuit bars, 16 bags of sweets and breakfast bars. The belly-busting stash, including a charge to check in another suitcase, cost the family an extra £300 on top of the £1,400 bill for the all-inclusive holiday. However, 29-year-old Rebecca says the extra luggage 'doesn't annoy her' - insisting she wouldn't enjoy the trip if her hubby wasn't eating.

This means Rebecca is often forced to dine alone, with John admitting he only pays for all-inclusive trips for.
