Chandigarh: A chef was duped of Rs 30.52 lakh. The victim, Raj Sikri of MDC Sector 6, told the police that he received a friend request from an unknown woman on Instagram.
The woman told him that she was a fashion designer and owned an online store in Singapore. She asked him to work with her. He made a website and was asked to recharge the wallet.
Over time, he transferred Rs 30.52 lakh. He tried to take the money but could not.
A case has been filed. tnn.
