A Malaysian millionaire has thrown a lavish birthday party for her pet cat at a Louis Vuitton store to the envy of many humans and fellow felines. Haliza Maysuri, the owner of a hijab fashion business, posted several clips on Instagram of herself with family and friends celebrating the 7th birthday of her cat, Money. The event took place at a Louis Vuitton boutique in Kuala Lumpur, where Money was dressed in a custom-made, long, sparkling gown.
The feline’s many birthday gifts included a LV collar that cost US$630, a portrait in which she was wearing a red frilly tutu, mounted on to a LV leather backdrop, and a specially baked cat cake served by store staff. Many online observers jokingly expressed envy on behalf of their cats. “My cat sent me this,” one person said on TikTok.
“This cat is having a better life than me,” said another. While another person chimed in: “This cat has got a better birthday than all my birthdays combined.” It is not the first time Maysuri had made headlines for spending lavishly on her pampered Persian puss.
For Money’s 4th birthday, she was given a golden pendant worth US$5,700. Last year, Maysuri posted a video showing her presenting Money with a BMW i7, worth US$150,000. In the video, Money was showered with attention while sitting on the bonnet of her gift, looking somewhat baffled.
Unlike her 7th birthday party, the car present did not receive a positive reaction from online observers. “Cheap and arrogant,” said one person. .
