The Hawks bats came alive with two outs in the fifth inning, opening the flood gates on what would become an 11-3 final score. "Even though we were down, we were down too in the last game we played (against North Newton) and we came from behind to still win that game," Hebron third baseman Macey Siminski said. "We got down a little bit, but we realized we had time to come back.

"We all pushed each other to do better and that's what we did." Hebron and the Oracles stood knotted at 2-2 entering the fifth inning. After two quick outs by Delphi pitcher Alexis Miller, the Hawks seemed poised to head to the bottom half of the inning trying to keep the game deadlocked.



Then, Addison Toczek stepped into the batter's box. Toczek, a Pittsburgh recruit, drove Miller's pitch deep down the left field line, pushing the Oracle outfielder back towards the wall. A last-ditch dive attempt saw the ball dribble away into foul ground and Toczek was off to the races.

Before the relay throw even reached the infield, the Hawks junior was across home plate standing up and Hebron led 3-2. Toczek finished the game with a 3-for-4 batting line, the home run and two RBIs. Hebron's two-out rally wasn't done either.

Back-to-back singles put runners on first and second for Siminski. With two strikes, she got the pitch she was looking for, launching a shot to right-center field. By the time it landed, Hebron had opened an 6-2 lead.
