After years of teasing, the Freaky Friday sequel has finally been confirmed – with Lindsay Lohan , Jamie Lee Curtis and Chad Michael Murray reprising their roles. The iconic body-swap comedy first hit our screens in 2003, following Anna (Lindsay) and Tess (Jamie Lee) unwittingly swapping identities thanks to very cryptic fortune cookies. More than two decades later, the pair sent fans wild as they posed in front of their trailers on set, announcing that Freaky Friday 2 is officially on the way. In the sweet snap, Lindsay, 37, and Jamie Lee, 65, held hands and smiled while sitting in front of each other’s trailers. The message, from the Disney Twitter account, read: ‘The Colemans are back and coming to theaters in 2025! The sequel to Freaky Friday is now in production!’ Unsurprisingly, movie fans went wild over the news and flocked to social media to celebrate the confirmation that the flick would arrive in cinemas first.
Taking to Twitter, Cami penned: ‘WAIT IM SO HYPED I LOVE THIS MOVIE SO MUCH Take Me Away and Ultimate ARE ENGRAVED IN MY BRAIN.’ Jenna Anderson agreed: ‘This is so extremely important to me.’ ‘This is the best day of my life,’ Andrew shared.
As Nicole Drum added: ‘It makes me so happy to see Lindsay Lohan thriving.’ Honestly? Hard same. According to Deadline, Disney .
