WOLKERSTORFER Linda Ann, Age 76, of Shoreview, died peacefully at home on June 1, 2024, surrounded by family after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Saint Paul on May 30, 1948, to the late Thomas and Audrey (Langlois) Connolly. She graduated from St.
Joseph’s Academy and married the love of her life, Ken Wolkerstorfer, on September 13, 1969. Linda was known for her meticulous and fashionable appearance, strong opinions, generosity, and most importantly her unwavering dedica-tion to family. Linda met her husband, Ken, 56 years ago.
They have been inseparable ever since. In earlier years Linda enjoyed spending time with her family on their boat in Bayport, both going for boat rides on the St. Croix and Mississippi Rivers and relaxing on the back deck with friends from the marina.
Linda had a competitive nature and especially enjoyed playing cards, Boggle, and board games with her sisters. She also loved talking with each of them about the daily newspaper crossword puzzle. Linda was an avid sports fan.
She loved watching football, golf, tennis, soccer and even bowling. She was a very passionate Vikings season ticket holder for years. We all knew not to call on Sundays when the Vikings weren’t doing well! Linda also loved Christmas.
Every year, her family enjoyed impeccably wrapped gifts, the most thoughtful cards and a wonderland of ornaments, creating beautiful memories for her family every year. We are confident she was Hallmark’s best customer! L.
