The Lighthouse Place Premium Outlets in Michigan City is planning a Fourth of July sidewalk sale and a vendor market. The outdoor outlet mall at 601 Wabash St. plans to be open from 10 a.

m. to 6 p.m.



July 4-7 for an old-fashioned sidewalk sale. Participating retailers include Chico's, Crocs, Daily Thread, Express, J. Crew Factory Outlet, Jockey, Kate Spade New York, Lane Bryant, Le Creuset, Levi's Outlet, Nina's, Osh'Kosh B'Gosh, Pepperidge Farm and Vera Bradley.

Some retailers will offer up to 70% off their already marked-down outlet store prices. The Lighthouse Place Premium Outlets also will host its first Hometown Craft & Vendor Market of the Season from 10 a.

m. to 4 p.m.

Friday through Sunday. More than 40 local vendors will sell their wares. Designed to look like a quaint New England fishing village in homage to its proximity to the Lake Michigan lakefront, The Lighthouse Place Premium Outlets was built at the site of the former Pullman railcar factory downtown and is Michigan City's only remaining mall, having outlasted the Marquette Mall.

It's home to more than 100 retailers, including Columbia Sportswear, Michael Kors, The North Face, Vera Bradley and Under Armour..
