(June 8, 1963 - June 3,2024) It is with the heaviest of hearts and the greatest of sadness that we announce the death of husband Kevin, Dad and Papa. He was such a bright light and a gentle wholesome soul. We miss him so much.
Kevin was a stand up man. He never took for granted the time he spent with his family and close friends. Like his physical size, Kevin lived large and his love was large too.
Honest, generous and considerate, he had old fashioned values and still believed in the importance of a gentleman’s handshake. He could never do enough for you. Born and raised in Elliot Lake, he built a business with his wife by his side.
He believed in his community and was a respected businessman. He was proud to be from Elliot Lake. While most people struggled with Covid restrictions, Kevin spent the pandemic teaching Madi to drive the excavator and letting Bucky eat Skittles before lunch.
He had a special bond with his grandkids, and his passing will leave a large hole in their lives. Kevin was just shy of his 61st birthday and he would have celebrated his 40th wedding anniversary this year. He had a good life.
Kevin leaves behind his wife, Wendy and his children, Michael, Chelsey and son-in-law Kyle. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Madison, Finnley and Hailey, brothers David, Todd and Dean. He was predeceased by his father Bob and mother Lorraine.
Kevin had a large, diverse group of friends and he valued all. Relationships were important to him. Kevin was a charac.
