I’ve been wearing Roots my entire life and quickly adopted lululemon as the B.C. brand came lunging to Ontario.
I’ve tried to branch out into more fancy wear when sweats and lycra aren’t appropriate, but always come back to a Beaver Canoe hoodie and Align leggings — enter Kit + Ace . I want to believe I’m going outside of my comfort zone, but Kit + Ace was founded in Vancouver back in 2014 by Shannon Wilson, former lead designer at lululemon and wife of Chip Wilson, the founder of lululemon. Small steps — small comfortable steps in clothing that looks put together.
This is my first time trying clothes from Kit + Ace. My goal was to try pieces to share what I think is worth investing in. I started by going through all the items on the website and selecting my top items according to style.
I ended up ordering six of my favourites and love them all — but not equally. For example, I’m not sure why I would ever take off the Madison Pants . Overall, Kit + Ace clothing is high-quality and made thoughtfully.
The items are comfortable, stylish and easy to wash. I love wearing these pieces every day but appreciate the versatility of the clothing — they’re great for travel, too. Why they’re my favourite: They are ready for adventure, but also brunch.
