Kate Moss failed to turn up to King Charles and Queen Camilla's garden party despite getting officials to secure her spot, according to reports. The supermodel, 50, was due to be one of the many star-studded guests at Buckingham Palace earlier in the week. Over 4,000 guests from the worlds of showbusiness and creative industries were invited to attend the bash hosted by the King and Queen.

It celebrated Britain's creative arts industry, and staff were reportedly excited to welcome Kate Moss to the palace. Kate is said to have initially declined the invite, yet later asked for her ticket back. However, she ended up not attending the event at all.

The British Fashion Council worked to secure her last minute spot just a few days before the event. "After all the wrangling, Kate was a no-show on the day. She made her decision so late that briefing notes were sent out ahead of the event which listed her as a guest," a source said.

"Everyone behind the scenes was desperate to see Kate and were so disappointed she didn't come," they added to Daily Mail. The event took place on Wednesday and saw King Charles mingle with guests alongside Queen Camilla , Prince Edward and the Duchess of Gloucester . Among the famous faces at the event were Strictly Come Dancing host Tess Daly and radio presenter husband Vernon Kay as well as Love Island star Maya Jama .
