Kate Middleton could not have received a warmer reception at her second public appearance of the year at Wimbledon. Though she did not attend the final women’s match on July 13, she arrived in the Royal Box in time to watch Carlos Alcaraz defeat Novak Djokovic in the men’s singles championship match the very next day.

Just last month, Middleton announced plans to attend Trooping the Colour , as well as “a few public engagements,” as she continues treatment over the summer.
It was unclear, however, if she would feel well enough to attend the prestigious tennis championship. Dressed in a royal purple Cecilia dress by the London-based fashion label Safiyaa, Middleton arrived at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club with her nine-year-old daughter, Princess Charlotte, as well as her sister, Pippa Middleton. The Princess of Wales was immediately greeted with a resounding standing ovation, which she appeared to savor before sitting down.
A wonderful Centre Court welcome for our Patron HRH The Princess of Wales 💜 #Wimb.
