Kandi Burruss isn't feeling so peachy after her experience with Ozempic. "Last year, I tried it," The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum told PageSix 's Virtual Reali-Tea podcast June 25. "I saw so many people who were trying it and losing weight.

So I was like, ‘Okay, I'm going to try this.' And I didn't lose any weight." And the Xscape singer wasn't the only one baffled as to why the FDA-approved Type 2 diabetes medication—which has become a widely used weight loss drug in recent years—wasn't having any effect on her.

"My doctor was like, ‘I don't know what the problem is, I'm not seeing this in other people,'" Kandi explained. "It didn't curb my appetite. I know some people are like, ‘Oh, I can't eat.

' Not me! I was eating appetizers, a regular meal and dessert, okay? It didn't stop anything for me." The unexpected results left the Bravolebrity disappointed to say the least. "When you see it worked for other people and it doesn't work for you, it makes you depressed," Kandi admitted.

"Realistically, it makes you feel like, ‘What is wrong with me? Why is it not working for me?'" As for what sparked the Grammy winner's weight loss journey, Kandi revealed she reached 170 pounds earlier this year after announcing her departure from RHOA after 14 years on TV. "When I announced that I was not going to do Housewives anymore, I was eating dessert every day, taking trips, just living it up," the 48-year-old shared. "And it was not cute.

" Now, Kandi is eating healthy, exerc.
