Coventry City have unveiled their home kit for their 2024/25 Championship campaign, and while it is said to sport a "brilliant touch", overall it seems the jury is still out on the new design. The Hummel-designed home shirt features new sponsor Monzo on the front, with King of Shaves moving to the back. The shirt carries modern links to Coventry City's history embossed over the torso, but not all supporters are keen, according to responses submitted on our original story.

A club statement describes the emblems as "showing a modern interpretation of the ‘Cofa Tree’ in a distinctive new pattern on both the front and back of the shirt. The name Coventry derives from the Anglo-Saxon 'treo' meaning 'tree' and the personal name Cofa or Coffa – together the two parts make up 'Cofa’s Tree' or 'Coffa’s Tree', which over time became Coventry." Reader Colski is all for it, wiriting: “Am I the only one who thinks the shirt is absolutely stunning? Brilliant touch with the Coffa's Tree symbol all over. Bespoke and unique to Coventry, and think it will be really nice close up.

Just need to get some overtime in to p.
