The young royal, has of late become a fixture in the fashion circuit having launched many projects in collaboration with the industry's top designers. And becoming an ambassador for a global brand like Jimmy Choo perhaps comes as no surprise if you consider Gauravi Kumari's many projects in fashion in the past year. Gauravi's foray into the fashion world came first after her own little business took shape, which eventually in a few years provided a pathway to many projects, magazine covers and throwing the best of fashion balls at her home.
“I first discovered my love for fashion while studying in New York and experienced a mélange of cultures, style, art and striking fashion. That was the first spark that kindled my interest in this world,” she says. The budding fashion entrepreneur, oversees her label, the PDKF store, which supports her mother's enterprise, the Princess Diya Kumari Foundation (PDKF).
With a focus on sustainability and reusing deadstock fabrics, the brand has carved a space for itself in India's growing fashion landscape. “All the partnerships happened quite organically, but the starting point was the launch of The PDKF Store." This isn't the royal's first partnership with an international brand.
