Claire Sweeney beamed as she opened up about her blossoming relationship with Ricky Hatton. The Coronation Street actress was Lorraine Kelly 's guest on her eponymous ITV show this Thursday, July 4, as Brits are headed to the polls for the General Election . However, the actress spoke about love during her appearance on the morning programme as she candidly said more about her romance with Ricky Hatton, whom she has been linked to for a handful of months after the pair bumped into one another on Dancing on Ice .
Lorraine kicked off the conversation by saying: "You have found love when you weren't looking for it", which left the Cassie Plummer actress smiling from ear to ear. And while many of her fans may have thought she's only known the former professional boxer for months, Claire revealed that they had actually set eyes on one another for the first time "25 years" ago. "I've known him for 25 years or so, we kind of always passed each other during events", the lovebirds even took part in a show together, years before slipping their skates on.
Claire and Ricky were two of the many stars to have taken part in Let's Dance for Comic Relief in 2013. The soap star then gushed: "Do you know what? He makes me laugh, that's it." "I first met him in La Manga in the early 2000’s, then we did Dance for Comic Relief together 2013, and then we met on Dancing on Ice and it’s great.
.. He makes me laugh and we both like Only Fools and Horses, so what’s not to like!" This prompted Lorr.
