Nestled along the sun-kissed shores of one of Cornwall's most happening coastal resorts, there's a new bar and restaurant in town that combines laid-back, friendly charm with good grub and the fun antics of a round of mini golf - and it could be the hottest opening this season. ROSA, on Tower Road in , opened to much anticipation back in April. The sister is already proving to be quite the success story.

So successful indeed that just weeks into opening there are already people queuing up for a taste of what's on offer. Kindly invited by the team, a few of us stopped by on a scorcher of a Saturday to try it out for ourselves. Located in a proper suntrap, where we're told the sun remains day and night - this is one huge bonus as the summer season approaches, but also inside is a colourful and charming restaurant if you're seeking a bit of shelter (or if our lack of summer continues any longer).

The staff tell us it's all about combining great food and drink with a relaxed and fun atmosphere - with reasonable prices - and if this is what they seek they are spot on with the delivery of these plans. Smiles all around with staff who couldn't do more for you, coupled with the soothing background of the sea it is a great destination for couples, groups of friends and even families. The 18-hole golf course - which has been around for more than 60 years - has been reimagined, bringing a spot of old-fashioned fun to the table with plenty of twists and turns.

It was a wholesome activity.
