IWM Magdalene Adegoke, Inner Wheel District 911 Chairman has called on the government at the various levels and well to do individuals in the country to partner with the non government organisation, so as to reach out and give support to more Nigerians in need. She made the call while speaking with Daily Independent at the Annual General Meeting of the District which comprises of 18 clubs in both Lagos and Ogun states, held at the premises of the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, LUTH, in Idi-Araba, where she gave the account of her stewardship within her service year. Adegoke who is the centenary chairman said that the non government organization does charitable acts and source for funding from within members’, their families and friends.

“We do charitable act, we empower people, do medical outreach, pay school fees, pay medical bills and empower women, and we do things to make life better for people. We source for funds on our own from friends’ and families to make sure that we put smiles on the faces of people. We called on the government to partner with us, they can give grants.



Adegoke lamented that finance is a major challenge due to the economic situation of the country. “Finance to carry out activities is a major challenge and we recognized that the government cannot do it alone. We need to join hands to make things happen by bringing our resources together to assist the less privilege in the society.

” Another challenge according to her is dwindling member.
