Never in the history of the modern-day Champions League has a team been through every single round of qualifying and made it all the way to the final. But come 8pm on Saturday, one football fan will have done just that. Rob Adcock, a TV and radio presenter who creates content on TikTok , will step into Wembley ahead of this year's final between Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund to break a unique record.
On a shoestring budget, Rob will have become the first person to have attended a match at every stage of the Champions League without visiting the same country twice. His journey began in the Icelandic town of Kopavogur back in June but he's no stranger to travelling around Europe and standing on the terraces - all while keeping the purse strings tight. "How it all started originally was my mate got married during lockdown and never had a stag do," Rob told Mirror Football .
"He's an AC Milan fan, so I said, 'Oh, should we go and watch a football match when everything kind of calms down a bit, as like a bit of a stag do that was not a stag do?' He's like, 'Yeah, alright then' and then we turned it into this thing where we ended up going to three different countries on three consecutive days to watch three different matches for under £300." Borussia Dortmund pinning hopes on Germany's answer to Jamie Vardy and Peter Crouch UEFA urged to ban sponsors after new statistics emerge before Champions League final Rob posted content from the trip on his TikTok page and after football .
